Formula 1 and DAZN have extended their broadcast partnership through the 2030 season, confirming DAZN as the home of F1 in Spain, Andorra and Portugal for another four years.
The announcement lands in the same week Madrid hosts its first Spanish Grand Prix at MADRING, timing that gives the extension added weight in a market F1 is actively trying to grow.
Portimão is also scheduled to return to the calendar in 2027, giving Portugal its own reason to invest in the renewal beyond Spain’s new race.

Under the agreement, DAZN will continue providing live and on-demand coverage of every F1 practice and qualifying session, Sprint and Grand Prix, alongside Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy and Porsche Supercup.
The broadcaster will also continue producing its own analysis, features and original programming across the three territories.
“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with DAZN and ensure fans across Spain, Andorra, and Portugal can continue to enjoy comprehensive Formula 1 coverage through 2030,” said Ian Holmes, Chief Media Rights and Content Creation Officer at F1.
“DAZN has played an important role in the growth of Formula 1 across these markets, particularly among younger and more diverse audiences, combining excellent live coverage with compelling storytelling that brings fans closer to our sport.”
Spain and Portugal now have a combined fanbase of 17.9 million people, a figure the sport is framing as evidence of sustained growth in the region rather than a one-off spike tied to Madrid’s new race.

The DAZN renewal secures the broadcast side of that growth through the rest of the decade, running alongside MADRING’s own commercial build-out ahead of its debut this weekend.
“Formula 1 is one of the cornerstones of our sports offering, and we are incredibly proud to continue bringing the Championship to fans in Spain, Andorra and Portugal until 2030,” said Oscar Vilda, Chief Executive Officer of DAZN Iberia.
“We want to continue evolving the way we tell the story of Formula 1 and build on the huge interest in the Championship across both countries.”
