The Cadillac Formula 1 Team has made a trio of appointments to its technical team.

F1’s newest team has appointed Craig Skinner as Chief Development Engineer, Eric Blandin as Head of Aerodynamics and Tim Lean as Chief Engineer – Aerodynamics Modelling and Simulation.

All three will join within the next few months, reporting into a structure led by Chief Technical Officer Nick Chester.

Skinner arrives after a 20-year career at Oracle Red Bull Racing, where he served as Chief Designer and played a key role in the team’s four consecutive championship-winning seasons from 2021 to 2024.

In his new role, he will provide technical direction across the development process, connecting car concept, aerodynamics and delivery.

Blandin joins with more than 11 years of experience as Chief Aerodynamicist at the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and Deputy Technical Director at Aston Martin Aramco. He will lead Cadillac’s aerodynamics group and its growth, also reporting to Chester.

Lean brings more than 10 years of aerodynamic experience across the McLaren Mastercard F1 Team and Red Bull, plus five years as principal aerodynamicist at Scuderia Ferrari HP and will lead Aerodynamics Modelling and Simulation, reporting to Blandin.

“These appointments represent a vital step in the technical evolution of the team,” said Team Principal Marcin Budkowski, himself only recently appointed to the role.

“Bringing together experienced leadership across development, aerodynamics and modelling will help us create a stronger integrated technical organisation and improve performance on track.
