Formula 1 teams are set for an intense end to the 2026 season, with the addition of the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, scheduled for the start of October.
This is a rescheduling of the race that was due to be held earlier this year at the Bahrain International Circuit, but it will instead take place at the Sepang International Circuit, which is making its F1 comeback for the first time since 2017.
Its beginning-of-October time slot means teams will have a run of seven races between the end of September and the start of November, with just one weekend out in the middle of October.
With the summer break in full effect, several teams are advertising for manufacturing roles.
Oracle Red Bull Racing is currently seeking a manufacturing engineer for its powertrains division, whose work will contribute to the development of critical components, including the internal combustion engine and energy recovery system, of its F1 power units.
The team is also advertising a CNC machinist role for both day and night shifts, with the job of precision machining parts.

BWT Alpine is currently advertising for a vehicle performance engineer, a role that involves contributing to the real-time support of trackside operations on race weekends and test events.
The team is also seeking a machinist and a composite technician. All of these roles require the ability to operate 3-axis and 5-axis machine tools and edit programs.
Atlassian Williams is advertising for a CAM programmer and CNC miller on a weekend shift, which includes programming and machining complex components for wind tunnel models, testing jigs and fixtures, and for the race car itself.
Like Alpine, the team is also advertising for a composites technician role on day and night shifts.
Aston Martin Aramaco is advertising for a composite design engineer role whose key responsibilities include the scheme, design, testing, and development stages of various composite components.
It is also looking for a metallic machining manager, whose role will be to deliver precision-engineered components that support race, development and production programmes.
