The Moet & Chandon Belgian Grand Prix proved to be another strong outing for championship leader and title favourite Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
The 19-year-old took his sixth win of the 2026 season at Spa-Francorchamps, with the circuit also the staging post for a number of partners, sponsors and brands to make their mark.
Here, Sector picks the three standout activations from across the weekend that demonstrated how partners are using F1 races to engage fans, tell new stories and showcase their brands.
Marsh x Formula 1
Marsh continued to leverage its role as Formula 1’s Official Risk Partner by bringing The Risk Perspective series to Europe for the first time, using Spa as the backdrop for a deep dive into one of the championship’s most technically demanding venues.
Produced in collaboration with F1, the Belgian Grand Prix edition explores the unique risk profile of Spa, from the circuit’s unpredictable microclimate and elevation changes to the strategic compromises teams must make throughout a lap.
Rather than creating traditional branded content, Marsh uses F1 as a real-world case study to demonstrate how risk is assessed, managed and mitigated under extreme pressure – directly aligning the sport with its core business proposition.
For Marsh, the activation demonstrates how F1 partnerships can extend beyond hospitality and branding. By tailoring The Risk Perspective to one of the calendar’s most iconic races, the company turns its sponsorship into a platform for thought leadership.
Tomorrowland x Belgian Grand Prix
Two of Belgium’s biggest event brands partnered for the first time this year – Tomorrowland, the electronic music festival based in Boom, and Spa Grand Prix, organiser of the F1 race in Belgium.
The joint “Belgian Thrill Package” was a six-night, single-ticket experience combining both events under one banner, aimed squarely at international visitors.
The itinerary saw guests arrive in Brussels on Wednesday 15 July for a welcome event and access to INVITED Brussels, followed by an exclusive F1 Pit Lane Walk at Spa-Francorchamps.
The weekend was spent at Tomorrowland itself, before a same-day return trip on Sunday for the Belgian Grand Prix, watched from a Gold 2 grandstand seat.
It was a smart piece of cultural crossover for Belgium specifically – packaging two of the country’s biggest annual draws, one in music and one in motorsport, into a single premium experience rather than letting them compete for the same international visitor in the same week.
Verstappen Travel x Belgian Grand Prix
Unlike a standard circuit grandstand, the Max Verstappen Grandstand was sold exclusively through Verstappen.com Travel, the Dutch driver’s own commercial travel business.
Rather than relying on F1 or circuit ticketing, the operation allows Verstappen to monetise his fanbase directly through a branded hospitality and ticketing product that now appears at multiple races each season.
At Spa, the activation spanned 15 grandstand sections between Pouhon and Les Fagnes. Every ticket included an Orange Army goodie bag, while fans were also entered into prize draws for experiences including a F1 paddock tour and a visit to the Oracle Red Bull Racing pit box.
The allocation sold out ahead of race weekend, underlining the continued commercial appeal of Verstappen’s personal brand, with thousands of Dutch supporters making the short journey across the border each year.
By packaging tickets, merchandise and exclusive experiences under the Verstappen.com Travel banner, the four-time World Champion has created a standalone commercial platform that sits alongside his on-track career.
