McLaren Racing has extended its relationship with Dell Technologies as Official Innovation Partner, continuing a collaboration that began in 2018.

The renewed agreement will support the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team, with Dell technology embedded across the organisation’s engineering, manufacturing and race operations functions.

Dell provides the computing infrastructure that underpins the design, development and operation of McLaren’s race cars throughout the season. That includes tools to enable global collaboration, simulation work and real time decision making during grand prix weekends.

Using Dell’s AI Factory, including PowerEdge servers and end to end artificial intelligence capabilities, McLaren processes up to 1.5TB of data per race weekend. The system supports rapid simulation, digital twin modelling and real time scenario planning.

“Our work with Dell Technologies has become a natural part of how we operate as a Formula 1 team,” said Zak Brown, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren.

“Their support strengthens the way we work across the organisation, helping us stay agile and competitive in a sport where every detail matters. Extending this relationship reflects the confidence we have in what we can achieve together.”

Dell hardware also supports McLaren’s esports programme, powering the McLaren F1 Sim Racing Team, and branding will remain on the McLaren race cars throughout the 2026 season and beyond.

Gerri Tunnell, Chief Marketing Officer at Dell Technologies, framed the relationship as a demonstration of applied enterprise technology in elite sport.

“The relationship between Dell Technologies and McLaren Racing showcases what’s possible when two organizations are dedicated to pushing boundaries,” she said.

“Dell’s solutions are a catalyst for human progress. With McLaren, we’re demonstrating how the combination of powerful technology and human ingenuity can deliver real competitive advantages in high-stakes environments – an approach that inspires innovation across industries worldwide.”
