Meccano has entered a global licensing agreement with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team to develop a range of premium, officially licensed construction sets for adult fans and experienced builders.
Manufactured and distributed by Addo Play, the Meccano Pro x Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Car – a highly detailed 1:8 scale model – will offer builders a hands-on engineering experience inspired by the AMR25 F1 challenger.
The set includes functional mechanical features such as working steering, a fully functioning engine and moveable DRS, designed to appeal to enthusiasts seeking a sophisticated build project.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone for Meccano. It is the first licensed product launch since Addo Play assumed control of the brand in 2025 and the first ever F1 licence in the company’s history.
We’re proud that we are the first Formula One team to collaborate with Meccano on a licensed product.

The new model forms part of the Meccano Pro category, one of several segments introduced as part of a broader brand refresh scheduled for autumn and winter 2026.
“Our licence agreement with Meccano allows us to translate the complexity of our race car into a tangible experience for fans, celebrating both innovation and craftsmanship in a unique and engaging way,” said Matt Chapman, Head of Licensing and Merchandising at Aston Martin.
“We’re also proud that we are the first Formula One team to collaborate with Meccano on a licensed product.”
The Meccano Pro x Aston Martin Formula One Car will be showcased publicly in January 2026 at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair (Spielwarenmesse) ahead of its global retail launch in August 2026.
A joint integrated marketing campaign will support its rollout, spanning digital advertising, social channels, influencer engagement and experiential activations at selected motorsport events and fan zones.
Aston Martin fans will soon have yet another way to engage with their favourite team off the track: alongside building their own Meccano Pro model, they can also collect the team’s officially licensed 1:64-scale Hot Wheels replicas, which was announced alongside Scuderia Ferrari HP as new models to complete the F1 grid.
