McLaren Racing has announced a new partnership with Schneider Electric that will see the global energy technology company become the team’s Official Energy Technology Partner across its Formula 1, IndyCar, F1 Academy and World Endurance Championship programmes.

The agreement builds on a supplier relationship between the two organisations that spans more than 20 years, with the partnership now expanding to place Schneider at the centre of McLaren’s energy, infrastructure and efficiency operations both trackside and at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking.

Under the partnership, Schneider will work with McLaren to develop and deploy energy solutions designed to ensure reliable power delivery in demanding race environments, while also optimising energy performance across wind tunnel operations, manufacturing facilities and IT data centres.

The collaboration will focus on reducing energy consumption, enabling further electrification through advanced energy technologies and using digital twin insights to improve operational efficiency and sustainability across the team’s global footprint.

“We’re proud to welcome Schneider Electric as our Official Energy Technology Partner. This partnership builds on a strong foundation and reflects our shared commitment to innovation and energy efficiency,” said Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Racing, Zak Brown.

“By combining Schneider’s expertise in energy technology with McLaren’s pursuit of performance, we’ll explore new ways to make our operations smarter and more efficient.”

The partnership adds Schneider Electric to McLaren’s growing technology and sustainability partner portfolio as the team prepares for the 2026 regulation era across its racing programmes.

Olivier Blum, Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric, believes elite motorsport provides a testing ground for the company’s technology.

“Racing is one of the most challenging environments to demonstrate the value of advanced energy and digital technology,” he said.

“McLaren Racing pushes every system to its limits, which is exactly where our expertise in performance, reliability, and efficiency makes the difference. We’re proud to become the Official Energy Tech Partner of McLaren, providing energy intelligence they depend on, both on and off the track.”
