McLaren Racing has signed a multi-year technology partnership with Rubrik, naming the cyber resilience and AI operations company as an Official Partner of both the McLaren Mastercard F1 Team and the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team.

The deal underlines how teams are increasingly viewing data security and recovery capability not as back-office IT functions, but as performance-critical infrastructure that directly supports engineering, operations and development across race programmes.

With modern F1 operations generating vast volumes of technical, simulation and operational data across global race calendars, ensuring that information is secure, accessible and recoverable at all times has become a strategic priority for teams.

Rubrik’s technology portfolio will be used to help secure McLaren’s data environments that support technical development processes and trackside operations, reinforcing the role of cyber resilience in enabling uninterrupted performance.

“We operate in one of the most data-driven sports in the world,” Zak Brown, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Racing, said.

“Data integrity is a competitive advantage and we partner with organisations who match our standards for speed, high performance and reliability. Rubrik shares that mindset.

“Together, we’re focused on strengthening the technological resilience that underpins performance across our racing programmes.”

The partnership is another example of how F1 teams are broadening their technology ecosystems beyond traditional engineering suppliers, with cyber security, cloud resilience and AI governance now becoming visible components of modern motorsport performance structures.

“In a sport where champions can be determined by milliseconds, teams must have the most resilient technology, with data that is always available,” explained Chairman and Co-Founder of Rubrik, Bipul Sinha.

“We excel at securing systems to drive business performance and we are proud to partner with McLaren Racing, a World Championship winning team firing on all cylinders.”
