Formula 1 has announced a new multi-year partnership with Standard Chartered, which will join the championship as its Official Wealth Management and Corporate and Investment Banking Partner from the 2026 season.
The agreement links the sport’s global race and event platform with the international banking group’s financial services footprint, with Standard Chartered operating in 19 of the 21 markets that currently host F1 races.
The partnership comes at a time of continued commercial growth for F1, which now reports a global fanbase of 827 million, and will see Standard Chartered activate across the race calendar through client hospitality, trackside experiences and global brand initiatives.
As part of the deal, Standard Chartered will also extend its support to F1 Academy, the all-female racing series, with a focus on developing female talent and skills across motorsport both on and off track.
“I am thrilled to welcome Standard Chartered, an incredible financial powerhouse, as a new partner to Formula 1,” Stefano Domenicali, President and Chief Executive Officer of F1, said.
“We are both truly global in nature, sharing fantastic locations around the world with the desire to drive performance and create experiences that excite people and bring them together.
“With Standard Chartered’s support for F1 Academy, I can’t wait to have them join us in the paddock and see what we can achieve together.”
The scale of Standard Chartered’s presence across the F1 calendar is central to the partnership’s value. With operations spanning almost every race market, the bank is positioned to use the championship as a platform for client engagement, hospitality and brand visibility across multiple regions simultaneously.

For F1, the addition of a global banking partner with deep roots across its race markets reinforces the championship’s position as a platform for international business connectivity as much as elite sport.
“We’re proud to become an Official Partner to F1, which shares our relentless commitment to high performance, innovation, a world-class client experience, and distinctive global connectivity,” said Roberto Hoornweg, Chief Executive Officer of Corporate & Investment Banking at Standard Chartered.
“F1’s footprint reflects our own cross-border network, with our presence in 19 out of 21 F1 race markets and many other countries where clients enjoy watching one of the most exciting, fastest-growing sports in the world.”
As the sport continues to expand commercially ahead of the 2026 regulation reset, partnerships of this nature underline how F1’s value to global brands increasingly lies in its geographic reach, premium audience and ability to host high-level client experiences around the world.
