Atlassian Williams Racing is aiming for a bright future by taking inspiration from the team’s storied past, having announced a rebrand that will come into effect from 2026.
The move will see the team renamed Atlassian Williams F1 Team and introduce a modern take on the ‘Forward W’ logo that adorned its cars from the team’s debut season in 1977.
With a leap forward in performance the goal for next year, Team Principal James Vowles has opted to focus resources on developing the new car for the 2026 regulation changes rather than chasing minor gains with the current challenger. The rebrand could therefore come at an ideal time for the Grove-based outfit.

“I am proud that from next year we will be known as Atlassian Williams F1 Team and carry a logo on our car inspired by our founder Sir Frank Williams and deeply connected with our decades of success,” said Vowles.
“As a team we are inspired by our past but excited about our future and committed to writing a new Championship-winning chapter in Williams’ history.
“This evolved team identity reflects who we are, where we are going, and reintroduces our title-winning legacy to a growing F1 audience that was not following the sport when we were last dominant.”
Despite choosing to prioritise preparations for 2026, Williams has continued its upward trajectory this season. The team sits a comfortable fifth in the constructors’ standings, with the highlight so far coming at the Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where Carlos Sainz finished on the podium in third place.
