The Formula 1 Exhibition has opened at its latest temporary home – the OBEX in Oberhausen, featuring exclusive material displayed across more than 3,000 square metres.

Having previously toured cities including Madrid, Vienna, Toronto, London, and Amsterdam, the official exhibition is now in Germany for the first time.

A collection of seven F1 cars from throughout the sport’s history forms the centrepiece of the exhibition, which also includes items provided by current and former teams and drivers.

Unique to the Oberhausen space is a dedicated German section celebrating the country’s contribution to F1. The ‘German Drive’ exhibit features exclusive content and memorabilia honouring tracks such as the Hockenheimring and Nürburgring, as well as championship-winning drivers Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher.

“We are excited to bring the F1 Exhibition to Germany. Since our first show in Madrid, the exhibition has been a great success in showcasing Formula 1’s history,” said Formula 1’s Chief Commercial Officer, Emily Prazer.

“Germany is integral to the sport’s story, with iconic tracks such as the Nürburgring and great champions including Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, whose legacies we still feel today. We cannot wait for fans in Germany to delve deeper into F1 and learn more about the sport they love.”

As with its previous venues, the exhibition offers visitors interactive and educational experiences, including F1 racing simulators.

Following its stint in Oberhausen, the F1 Exhibition will move on to Melbourne, Australia, from November 29.
