Formula 1 and Disney have announced their collaboration will launch ahead of the Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix next month.

Announced in May, F1 confirmed a tie-in with ‘Mickey & Friends’, which will now begin under the banner of ‘Fuel the Magic’ with special activations taking place across the race weekend in Las Vegas.

A one-off performance from Mickey Mouse in front of the Fountains of the Bellagio will include music and pyrotechnics, much like Disney fans will have seen at theme parks across the world.

The characters will also be featured throughout the F1 weekend itself, with Mickey & Minnie hosting a pitlane walk with select premium ticket holders, as well as the Disneyland Band performing the American national anthem on the grid before the race on Saturday night.

“Our collaboration with Disney builds on a shared passion for storytelling, innovation and creating memorable moments,” said Emily Prazer, whose dual role as Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1 and President and CEO of the Las Vegas Grand Prix means she has been at the heart of the Disney deal.

“As we look ahead to the global Disney’s Mickey & Friends and Formula 1 launch in 2026, the ‘Fuel the Magic’ program will bring two iconic brands together to give fans of all ages a race weekend filled with creativity, entertainment and a touch of magic.”

As well as the global reach, Disney characters will also ‘host’ a community day aimed at inspiring school children from the local area.

With further activations across the 2026 calendar to be announced in due course, F1 and Disney are also partnering on merchandising, with the first range to be released on November 8, ahead of the Vegas race.
